Overage past the label cap: Growth $1.00 / label, Pro $0.75 / label, on top of normal per-label fees. Starter hard-stops at 50. Duty and tax themselves pass through to the authorities — the fees above are Forto’s only lines. Plans and per-label fees bill in USD through Stripe; the BYOC per-label fee is set in EUR and converts at charge time.
FAQ
Questions about pricing.
Do you charge per label?
Yes — and it's published, not hidden. On Forto-pool labels: a tier markup of 8/7/6/5% on the carrier rate, plus $0.07 per label on paid tiers. When your own carrier account wins routing, you pay your negotiated rate and a flat fee of €0.50 (Growth), €0.25 (Pro), or €0 (Enterprise) — Forto adds no markup to your rate.
What counts as a label?
Any outbound label you generate. Past the monthly cap, Growth bills $1.00 and Pro $0.75 per additional label; Starter hard-stops at 50 until the next cycle.
Can I switch plans?
Any time. Plan changes take effect immediately — Stripe prorates the difference on your next invoice, in both directions.
Is DDP on the free plan?
No — Starter ships DAP, meaning your customer pays duties on delivery. Duties collected at checkout (DDP) starts on Growth, with 500 DDP labels a month.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Monthly or yearly billing, cancel any time — you keep access until the period ends. Enterprise is custom-invoiced on its own terms.
What about duty and tax?
Your customer pays duty and tax at checkout (DDP), or the consignee pays on delivery (DAP). The amounts pass through to carriers and tax authorities. Forto's lines on top are the DDP fee and VAT service fee shown in the table.
